Tom LuhnowTom Luhnow
Chief Executive Officer

Tom Luhnow returned to San Diego after serving 12 years as executive director of Flying House Productions (FHP), home of the Seattle Men’s Chorus and Seattle Women’s Chorus. While working at FHP, he more than doubled the organization’s fundraising results and started the women’s chorus. Seattle Men’s Chorus is the largest gay men’s chorus in the world and the largest community chorus in America in ticket sales.
Tom is a native of San Diego and a graduate of San Diego State University with a degree in Marketing. While at SDSU, Tom served on the student council, as Interfraternity Council President, and was a member of Who’s Who in American Colleges & Universities as well as president of Blue Key Honorary Society.
Prior to joining FHP, Tom ran a small nonprofit in Washington, D.C., dedicated to eliminating the Fairness Doctrine, a policy of the Federal Communications Commission that required holders of broadcast licenses to present controversial issues of public importance in a balanced manner. Opponents to the policy, which included Senator Proxmire, who sponsored its enactment, argued that it was a violation of First Amendment rights as it chilled free speech, and the policy was repealed by Congress in 1987.
Tom also co-founded Forty Plus of Puget Sound, through which he trained hundreds of unemployed executives and professionals in the skills of returning to work at a time when few resources were available.  Prior to that, Tom worked as a manager at Safeco Insurance where he spent the last 3 years of his 12 there leading a company-wide management training program.
In addition, Mr. Luhnow has edited numerous books and written several original screenplays.
